Frame and Suspension
Polygon has upgraded the frame to a lighter weight by using Alutech XC Sport frame. The new curved aluminum top tube is made to reduce weight and gives the bike a refined presence. The frame also features rack mounts for your rack or baby carrier. Additionally, a 120 mm (100 mm on 29" size) Suntour XCM travel fork is attached to the front for reducing shocks and vibrations.
Groupset
When it comes to groupset, Polygon Premier 5 uses 27-speed Shimano Acera/Altus drivetrain and thereby, allowing riders for accelerating and tackling the field even in the steepest hills. There is also a direct mount derailleur for added strength to protect the derailleur from bending if hit by a rock. Braking issues in the Polygon Premier 5 won’t be a fuss since the bike is equipped with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. The brakes provide powerful braking power that is very convenient and responsive even in wet and muddy conditions.
Other Features
The Premier 5 bike also utilizes Polygon’s new Wheel Fit Size system, whereby each frame size is paired with the wheel size that fits best for the rider. There are two kinds of wheel sizes; 29” wheels for 18”, 20”, and 22” frame sizes and 27,5” wheels for 16”, 18”, and 20” frame sizes. The handlebar, stem, and seat post use Entity Sport to deliver superb strength, style, and performance. In the end, these combinations make Premier 5 a great mountain bike on the market.
