Thanks to Shimano XTR FD-M9000 front derailleurs, XTR 3x11 riders benefit from the advantages of side-swing technology, which further enhances the already high performance of the Dyna-Sys11 system. With side-swing and front-pull cable routing, both shifting efficiency and operating forces are significantly improved. The new design also results in more distance between the seat tube and the tyre. The FD-M9000 is completely made of aluminium and therefore weighs only between 100 and 130 grams.

Dyna-Sys11
The real advantage of the 11-speed drivetrain is that the entire range of ratios is available without having to give up the usual rhythm. Dyna-Sys11 ensures an optimal rhythm both in the flats and in the ascents with " Rhythm Step" gears in the most frequently used range. Drive efficiency is a critical performance indicator for the drivetrain. Dyna-Sys11 means more speed with the same effort.

Side-Swing
The Shimano Side-Swing front derailleurs are controlled from the front (Front-Pull), which allows for much more efficient cable routing. This significantly improves shifting performance, especially when shifting to the large chainring - with lower operating forces. Other advantages include increased tyre clearance thanks to the slimmed-down design and noise reduction thanks to the optimised chainstay angle. In addition, Side-Swing technology favours the construction of frames with shorter chainstays, which simplify the control of the bike.
