With the M8120 Deore XT crank, Shimano takes a big step forward in several aspects. Probably the most outstanding innovation: The M8120 is designed for Direct Mount chainrings. When constructing the crank, Shimano continues to rely on the proven Hollowtech-2 technology with a 24 millimeter crankshaft. Thanks to design optimizations, the current generation of cold-forged aluminum cranks has been able to further reduce weight and at the same time increase rigidity. Matching Direct Mount chainrings with 28 to 36 teeth are available. Like every Deore XT crank, this one can also be used for almost all areas of application, from marathons to freeride.
