Frame and Suspension
Marin San Rafael DS4 is built with lightweight Series 3 Dual Sport butted aluminum frame. Featuring SHOT technology, it also has 3D forged dropouts with dual eyelets on the rear part to mount the brake components or accessories. The frame is designed with Dual Sport Geometry for a more upright riding position. As this bike is engineered to concurrently overcome all kind of terrains and give the riders comfort, a SR Suntour NCXD LO suspension fork is paired to the frame. With 63 mm of suspension travel, it reduces the bumping occurred on rough tracks and at the same time remains convenient on road riding. The fork features hydraulic lockout which enables riders to adjust the suspension according to the terrain.
Groupsets
By collaborating Shimano Deore series as the front derailleur with 10-speed Shimano Deore Shadow series as rear derailleur, tackling rough terrains is a piece of cake. That incredible combination gives the riders a total 30 gear options which could be easily set up with Shimano Deore shifter lever. The brake system uses the reliable Shimano M365 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotor. It also provides crisp shifting with Shimano hydraulic brake levers.
Other Features
The wheelset utilizes the Schwalbe Smart Sam Performance 700Cx40 with Kevlar Puncture Protection to reduce the risk of flat tires. It is paired with strong yet durable aluminum double wall rims and stainless-steel spokes to powerfully tackle all kind of tracks. The center part of this wheelset is also provided with forged dropouts which could be easily mounted with additional accessories such as fenders or rear carriers.
