As it is classified as the Dual Sport bikes, it is compatible for adventurous sport riding or just commuting to another town and across country.
Frame and Suspension
The San Anselmo DX2 is built around a Series 2 6061 butted aluminium frame which is processed through hydroforming to build a stronger and robust component. Furthermore, the frame is assembled with SR Suntour NEX Disc HLO with 63 mm travel suspension fork. As this bike is compatible for both on and off road, its fork could be adjusted as it is facilitated with hydraulic lockout system. Thus, the riders can set the right travel according to the track they would ride on.
Groupsets
As the groupset support the bike operation, 3-speed Shimano Tourney is installed as the front derailleur and 8-speed Shimano Altus for the rear derailleur. The groupset has 24 gear choices which could be easily operated with Shimano EF505 shifter. Moreover, the brake system implements is powered by Shimano BR-M315 hydraulic disc brake with 160 mm rotor in both front and rear parts. The bike is also outfitted with Shimano EF-505 hydraulic brake levers to operate the brake system, so the riders could stop smoothly.
Other Features
The wheelset utilized on this bike is a combination of 700C x 40 Schwalbe Smart Sam knob tires with aluminum double wall rims and stainless-steel spokes. The tires themselves are equipped with the Kevlar Puncture Protection technology, which effectively reduces the risk of flat tires. Meanwhile, the center part of the front and the rear rims are outfitted with forged aluminum alloy hub and center-lock disc for the brake discs. For the additional accessories, fenders and carriers could be attached easily to the bike as Marin San Anselmo DS2 provides easy mounting for them.
