Frame and Suspension

Marin San Rafael DS3 is specially built with lightweight Series 3 Dual Sport aluminum frame along with SHOT technology. The rear part features the 3D forged dropouts with dual eyelets for post mount disc brake and an integrated kickstand mount. Besides delivering strength and stiffness to the bike, its frame is also equipped with fantastic integrative parts to the bike. As this bike could be ridden on dry to wet tracks, a SR Suntour NEX HLO suspension fork is installed to absorb the shock and enhance comfort while riding. With 63 mm of suspension travel, the fork could reduce bumping on a rough terrain. It is also built with hydraulic lockout and preload adjustment to determine whether the suspension should be turned on or not.

Groupsets

The groupset combines the durable 3-speed Shimano Altus series as the front derailleur and the slim yet elegant 9-speed Shimano Alivio Shadow series as the rear derailleur. Easily set through the shifter lever, the riders could operate the gear with up to 27 gear options. The brake system utilizes Shimano BR-M315 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotor for a responsive and smooth stopping. Thus, it also means less maintenance would be needed for the brake parts.

Other Features

The wheelset of Marin San Rafael DS3 features maneuverable rolling wheels which could accelerate quickly and boost up the rider experiences. Its wheelset consists of a robust combination of Schwalbe Smart Sam Performance 700Cx40 tires, aluminum double wall rims, stainless-steel spokes, and centered by aluminum alloy hubs. The tires are also engineered with Kevlar Puncture Protection technology that reduces the risk of flat tires. Furthermore, this bike also features internal cable routing for a clean look. In addition, the bike is completed with fender and rack mounts.
