Frame and Suspension

Equipped with a butted and hydroformed aluminum frame, this bike’s Series 2 Dual Sport frame make it more durable and reliable. The frame also features DS Geometry technology which provides riders with comfortable upright seating while riding, especially on the rough terrains or on a long-haul riding. For a more convenient riding, the bike is equipped with a SR Suntour NEX Disc HLO suspension fork with 63 mm travel. It has hydraulic lockout that is adjustable according to the tracks, making riding time become even more enjoyable.

Groupsets

Marin San Rafael DS2 drivetrain is powered by 3-speed Shimano FD-TY710 as the front derailleur and the powerful 8-speed Shimano Altus series as the rear derailleur. Easily set on a click of your finger, this bike has a total of 24 gear options which could be adjusted through Shimano EF505 shifter. The shift levers are integrated to the brake levers which use Shimano EF505 levers with hydraulic brake system. The brake system uses Shimano BR-M315 Hydraulic Disc Brakes with 160 mm rotor for a smoother and more responsive stopping, with less parts maintenance.

Other Features

To support all terrains riding, innovative technology is outfitted on the wheelset of Marin San Rafael DS2. The wheelset consists of Schwalbe Smart Sam 700Cx40, aluminum double wall rims, and forged aluminum alloy hubs locked on the center of the rims. Its tires also feature Kevlar Puncture Protection innovation which effectively reduce the risk of flat tires, especially when you are riding on a rocky terrain. Additionally, this bike also features fender and rack mounts – to cover up the bike parts from dirt and wet environment, or racks to carry your belongings.
